We recently spoke to Maxime Trillot, Event Project Manager, who successfully landed his new role at UrbanEvent via Global Sports.

We hear that you got a job through Global Sports, congratulations! Can you tell us about this journey to get your job?

Regarding my background, I obtained my Master 2 in Sports Management and Business at Amos Sport Business School last October. From that moment on, I set out to find a permanent contract. I browsed the Global Sports website many times in order to respond to the various advertisements that matched my profile. At the end of January 2022, I saw the offer for Event Project Manager at UrbanEvent that was published on the website, and I applied directly. The recruitment process was quite quick. After speaking with the person in charge of the department, we conducted an initial interview. As the interview went well, I had another interview with this person's superior . A few days later, I was called back to be told that my application had been selected among the other candidates.

Can you describe your experience using the platform in 3 words?

  • Diversity
  • Opportunity
  • Quality

How would you rate your overall Global Sports experience?

It was a good experience. The Global Sports website offers many offers in different areas of the sports world. The offers there are always extremely interesting, and the application process is simplified, in order to best respond to the offers proposed.

Have you applied for other offers on the platform? If so, have you had other successes?

Absolutely, I applied to many offers on the site, sometimes even offers that did not match my profile in order to maximise my chances of getting a permanent contract. This paid off a few times, I was able to get interviews, but it never resulted in signing a contract. The only offer for which I applied and for which I got a permanent contract is the one that corresponds to the job I currently have.

Where did you hear about Global Sports?

During my studies, my old school offered us talks by people from the professional world, who told us about the different recruitment sites in the world of sport.

Have you started your new job yet? If so, can you tell us how your experience so far compares to your expectations of working in the sports industry?

I started my new job in mid-March. The world of sports events is a world in which I wanted to evolve, I adapted my academic path in higher education in this sense. The missions that I am entrusted with are perfectly in line with the offer to which I responded, but also in line with my expectations of professional project.

Thank you Maxime, we wish you the best and continued success in your new role.
