Meet Esther Micheau, a student in sports management and completing her work-study program at FAST SPORT as a marketing and sales assistant. She tells us how Global Sports helped her find this opportunity.

After registering for my master's degree, I was looking for a work-study program in sports marketing. I then registered on a few platforms and applied for several offers in different places. I had to create an Excel spreadsheet to track everything. When I discovered Global Sports, I found a platform that allowed me to apply for many offers and track them in real time. I was therefore able to choose the company that suited me best: Fast Sport.
I was able to refine my searches based on several criteria such as the role I was looking for (e.g. marketing, sponsorship, PR), the specific sports sector (club, federation, agency, media, etc.) and keywords.
The navigation on the site was fluid and intuitive. From the home page, you can easily find the space to do your research and your personal space to follow the current applications.
What really contributed to my efficiency in my job search were the advanced filters offered by the platform. I was able to refine my searches according to several criteria such as the function I was looking for (for example, marketing, sponsorship, PR), the specific sector of the sport (club, federation, agency, media, etc.) and keywords, in my case: "alternation". This allowed me to precisely target the offers that corresponded to my needs and my professional objectives. This prevented me from wasting time browsing ads that did not fully interest me.
From my personal account, I could follow my current applications. This made my search for an internship much simpler. I was also able to save searches to receive regular notifications on job offers corresponding to my search.

What are the motivations that led you to work at FAST SPORT? How did FAST SPORT stand out as an employer?
Many motivations led me to choose to work at Fast Sport. First of all, the inspiring experience of Marine Lallement, the founder of the company, was a determining factor. The prospect of working alongside a female leader who is committed and passionate about sport was a key driver of my choice.
The diversity of the players in the world of sport with whom we interact on a daily basis also played a key role in my decision. This variety of contacts and opportunities for interaction has considerably enriched my professional experience.
Finally, the workforce size of the company was a significant attraction. Working at Fast Sport gives me the opportunity to be part of a team where I have the opportunity to contribute to the development of many projects.
Can you compare your experience so far to your expectations/experiences of working in the sports industry?
This is my first experience, so it's hard for me to compare it to previous experiences, but working at Fast Sport has allowed me to discover many jobs in the sports industry. As a work-study student, it is essential for me to find a company that will help me train.
What are your missions as a marketing and sales assistant?
As a marketing and sales assistant, my missions are numerous and varied. I participate in the development of targeted mailing campaigns, aimed at maintaining the engagement of current customers and attracting new customers, via a CRM. Then, I prospect potential leads for the various training courses offered by Fast Sport.
I am also in charge of recruiting new language trainers, in order to meet the many requests in sports English, French as a foreign language, Spanish and others. The objective is to develop Fast Sport's network of native trainers to best meet the needs of all customers.
In addition, I play an important role in managing relationships with our training customers. This translates into language audits to understand their expectations and objectives, planning courses and certifications, answering their questions and resolving any problems they may have. I also maintain regular follow-ups with customers to ensure their satisfaction and to identify potential opportunities to expand our services.
What advice would you give to people looking for a new opportunity in the sports industry?
I would first recommend looking at job offers on websites specialising in sports such as Global Sports. That's where I saw the best offers, in lots of different sectors, so there's something for everyone.
Then, I think you shouldn't have any preconceptions. By that, I mean that you shouldn't stop yourself from applying somewhere: apply for the offers that attract you, you may be exactly what the employer is looking for.
Finally, be flexible! The sports industry can be competitive, so it's important to be flexible in your expectations. This can concern the sporting discipline as well as the location of the position, what matters is to find a company in which you can flourish.
